If you’re currently using Neon, below are answers to common questions regarding our expectations after the acquisition closes. Will my existing Neon setup break or require changes?
No. Everything will continue to work exactly as it does today.
Do I need a Databricks account to use Neon?
No. You can continue using Neon exactly as you do today, there’s no requirement to use any other product or platform.
Can I still use the same channels to contact Neon support?
Yes. Nothing changes, you can continue to reach us through the same support channels you use today.
Is the Free Plan going away?
No. The free plan stays.
Will Neon still prioritize developers and startups?
Yes. Our focus on developers and startups remains unchanged. We’ll keep building for fast-moving teams and supporting them as they grow.
Is Neon going to be shut down?
No. Neon will continue to operate without disruption with the same team and mission.
Are any features being deprecated?
No. All existing features remain available, and we will continue to improve and expand them.
Will I be billed by Databricks now?
No, Neon will continue to bill users directly through our existing system. If anything changes in the future, we’ll communicate it clearly.
